The seat, The Sovereign Eastern Anikituwah Tribe, is an Indigenous tribal nation that offers the warmth of its council fires to individuals and families that share indigenous ancestry, but may have never have had a tribal embrace.  

From its inception, the seat embraced its traditional cultural practices and restored the primacy of the Clan Mothers atop the heirarchy of tribal structure.   Here we see Mother of the Nation Most Senior Clan Mother,  Josephine Morning Star Anderson with Principal Chief AncientFuture.  Mother Josie, as she is affectionately called, is now 101 years young.
